SUMMARY:Rheebokskloof Paarl
DESCRIPTION:📢 Event Update – Trail & Weather Conditions\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHi everyone\, \n\n\n\nWe know there’s been a lot of questions after the recent rain and wind\, so just to share a quick update from our Exco and organising team after last night’s meeting: \n\n\n\n✅ Event StatusFor now\, the event is still on track for Saturday. The track is closed for practice today\, but should be re-opened tomorrow for those that still need to practice (TBC) \n\n\n\n🌧️ Trail ConditionsDespite the heavy rain in Paarl\, the team from Paarl Trails (our experienced trail builders) are feeling confident that the trails will be ridable. This is based on: \n\n\n\n\nA site visit yesterday to check the track conditions\n\n\n\nTheir experience dealing with weather like this\n\n\n\nA good weather forecast ahead (clear skies and no more rain)\, giving the trails time to dry out\n\n\n\nThe natural slope of the track and parking areas\, which helps with drainage\n\n\n\n\nAnother visit is happening today to sort out any damage and tweak routes where needed. \n\n\n\n🚗 ParkingParking is also being looked at during these checks to make sure we can handle the number of cars safely. \n\n\n\n⏳ Where we are nowWe’re still in the final decision-making phase. We should have a clearer view by tomorrow\, including any changes\, and will share as soon as everything is confirmed. \n\n\n\n🙏 Thanks so much for your patience — and a big shoutout to Darren\, Duranne and the Paarl Trails team for all the hard work going into getting the trails ready. \n\n\n\nWe’ll keep you posted 👍 \n\n\n\nStart Lists\n\n\n\nStart list will be available the Friday before the event.
