Courses and Distances / Times

After the success of last years race, we decided to keep the course the same. It’s an exciting course through the Banhoek Conservancy. Following our usual format, there are 2 distances. A shorter 2.5km and a longer 3.4km which is somewhat technical in places.

Short Course:

This course will be used for the Sub Nipper and Nipper age categories.

Long Course:

This course will be used for the Sprog category and older.

Costs

The following entry fees will apply:

CategoriesCost
Short Course – Nippers and Sub-Nippers*R160
Long Course*R200
Replacement bike board *R50
* One 2024 bike board will be issued free of charge at the first event being attended. The board must be used for all races in the series. A fee will be charged if a replacement board is requested.

Online entry is the only mechanism to enter the races. No “on the day” entries will be accepted.

Registration

There will be a registration point at the venue where Team Managers must collect their school’s number boards at least one hour prior to the start of racing. The number boards contain a timing chip with a rider’s details and cyclists may therefore not swop number boards! Should there be any children not represented by a Team Manager, they are to go to registration with a responsible adult. Registration opens at 7:30

Timing

An electronic timing system will be in use. Each number board has an embedded chip which the timing system will pick up. Participants are required to have their number boards attached to the front handlebars before the start of an event. No board, no time!

Please do not swap your timing board with another participant. Your personal information is stored on the timing system linked to the board you are issued with. The bike boards are to be kept for the entire series. If you lose your board between races, a new one can be purchased at registration at a cost of R50.

Online Registration

Use the Enter button below to register participants for the event. By using the same computer/phone as before the persons you have previously registered will be displayed again.
